the Rosedale Volunteer Fire Department
Volunteers save the community and state millions of dollars every year. With changing life styles and busier schedules, it is becoming more and more difficult to provide adequate protection in the community.
Still, we struggle to run the operations of the fire company. Annual donations and results from fund raisers become less reliable each year. RVFD is operating with four vehicles over twenty years old, two of which have been refurbished, which was more economically feasible than purchasing new equipment. We need your help.

Spaghetti Dinner & Open House, Saturday, May 9th 2009 RVFD will be holding our annual dinner and open house event from 3 - 7pm. We'll have our trucks and equipment on display, so stop by and meet your local volunteer firefighters. We'll also have some demonstrations as well as a visit from Stat MedEvac Helicopter. Stay for dinner for only $6/adult. Local deliveries are available by calling 412-793-1224. |
1st Annual Blazin' 5K Run/Walk, Friday, July 10th 2009 We're hosting our first 5K run/walk this year. Registration will begin at 5 pm and the race will begin promptly at 7pm. Registered participants prior to July 1st pay $17 and participants after July 1st pay $20. After the race, a pasta dinner, water, juice, and beer will be served. Several awards will be presented. Companies and organizations, we're actively looking for event sponsors. |
Gun and Cash Bash, Saturday, August 22nd 2009 RVFD will be holding our annual Gun/Cash Extravaganza, opening the gates at 11:30 am and will run until the Grand Prize is awarded around 5:00 PM. The event is held outside in the field, but will be moved inside in event of rainy weather. A band will be performing throughout the day and all drinks and food are included with your ticket. Several side raffles and 50/50's throughout the day, only 500 event tickets will be sold. The event sells out every year. Guest tickets are available to $10. For more information, call 412-798-0412.
